Southport Reporter®

THIS is our online main news site.  It is was the first local web page in the UK to be recognised by the media as a newspaper and its name is now a registered Trade Mark.    It was fully set up in a simple format after a long ongoing development in 2000 and was given it's full name Southport Reporter in 2001 after developing several names and testing them.   The services became even more popular over 2001 and we had to register in 2002 the full name as a Trade Mark.    The service covers news of all types all over the North West, but with a focus on Merseyside.   Our best description is a virtual version of a regional newspaper.  The best description is an e-newspaper. Mersey Reporter™

Mersey Reporter is our online information site for Merseyside.  It holds a historic reference section, business listings, event listings and lots, lots more.   It holds free downloads and online games aimed at developing recognition for the regions history and landmarks. 

Merseyside is a region of the UK and has Liverpool at the heart of it.   Liverpool is the European Capital Of Culture for 2008 so we have added a huge event listing section on it.    Please contact us with your news or for more information about how to advertise on this service.

Liverpool Reporter™

THIS is our online radio station.   It is designed to stream using real player 24 hours all year round.   Our Radio stream is aimed at helping and developing local bands and acts on Merseyside.   All music is supplied by record labels, bands or the artists themselves and then if they are off a high standard and suitable for broadcasting under UK law, we will put it on.  The TV section is aimed at helping and developing the local area on Merseyside, with adverts and documentaries on past events and issues that are being raised in the area.   We are always interested in any documentary idea or event we can cover.   Please contact us with your information.

Formby Reporter™

THIS is an online email news flash system and it is currently in a beta test stage.   It is designed to send out news bulletins via email to subscribers.  This test is going well, but uptake was slow at first.

SOUTHPORT.TV

SOUTHPORT.TV is in development and is currently undergoing testing.  It will be fully developed into a video archive for Southport Reporter & Mersey Reporter, as well as being activated as live web TV station, over the next 3 years.   It is designed to stream using real player and Flash video, but the overall player format is not yet confirmed yet.   Music for the videos comes from the music given to us for Liverpool Reporter to help the bands get more notice for their music.
